The Bathroom has a large double shower with assistance rail and a separate toilet

We will supply all of your towels, a hair dryer, soap, shower gel, toilet paper and a first aid kit.

2 large comfortable sofas with cushions and blankets.

A large TV with decoder so you can also connect to your Prime, Netflix and Canal+. We are also happy to loan a DVD player and give you access to our extensive DVD library upon request and with our compliments.

A large shared garden comprising of:

  • A small pool and sun deck in the summer

  • Your own private terrace which has a small barbecue, table, chairs and a swinging sofa, where you can relax, sunbathe and enjoy the spectacular views

Things to do

Thouars is perfectly situated near Puy du Fou and Futuroscope amusement parks. There are annual festivals and outdoor antique markets to enjoy as well as many local vineyards where you can spend a fun afternoon wine tasting.

Many beautiful castles surround us, in fact we have soo many castles you will no doubt have to visit more than once.

Thouars has a rich historic centre, a beautiful castle, medieval churches and many stunning buildings. It was the fief of Eleanor of Aquitaine and her son, Richard the Lion Heart, who were the first Plantagenet rulers and are buried in Fontevraud Abbey, not far from the house.

The town overlooks the Thouet river, where there are many walks to be enjoyed, particularly the Pommiers Waterfall where you can dip your feet in pristine water and enjoy the wildlife.

A large indoor and outdoor swimming pool with toboggans is only a 5 min walk from the house as well as:

  • Canoe/Kayak is available on the Thouet river

  • Horse riding

  • Many restaurants and bars within walking distance

  • Two large Supermarkets and shops nearby

  • Market days in Thouars are Tuesday and Friday- Thouars Market was voted sixth most beautiful market of France

  • A short drive away, you can enjoy a boat trip on the Loire river in Saumur

  • A large Go Karting circuit 20 mins drive from house

  • The Parc de la Valley is 10 mins away, for younger children, with rides, activities and swimming. A great day out for all.

The property is accessed by a private outdoor staircase and is not suitable for wheelchair users.
